I know like me you also start up your favourite social networking site, look at memes, news, or any other interesting article browser through it; find another article and it goes on and on but most of those articles or sites are worthless. But there are some interesting websites out there from which you can hugely benefit from and these will surely be worthy ways to spend your free time.

I was browsing through Facebook and I opened up an article titled “10 most important things to know in life”… I thought hell yeah I want to know. There I went deep I learned that we should never hit our children in public (thank god else I would’ve killed my child in public) 🙂 . Anyways, I started browsing here and there in search of knowledge of the world and interesting facts and places to visit. Before I know it I’m reading an article on “Why should we never re-use plastic bottles after six months?”.. When I started focusing, I’m thinking what the hell is this? Now that is a waste of time.

Now then I started collecting various web links which I like to browse when I want to and with it at least I learn something new so I want to share some of these sites with you, so you may also benefit from them, so let’s get on with it:

Spend your time learning something new:

  • Slideshare – As the name tells us. Slideshare is a site for presentation share. It has a large database of presentations for students, professionals. These are not just templates but actual presentations made by people around the world and then shared so others could benefit from it. This is free and in order to download a presentation, you have to sign-in via LinkedIn or create a separate account.

Optimize and Organize your Office or Personal work

  • PDF Unlock – Remove password from a PDF file if you have forgotten.
  • Mailinator – If you register on useless sites a lot then this site is for you. It will let provide you temporary email id without registering and you can use that email id to register on other Ad-Hoc sites like for surveys which bombard you with spam mails. It will provide you with an inbox also there where your confirmation mails will come.
  • Alternative To – This site will provide you with alternative choices for software. E.g, if you are using particular software, say Skype and due to some reason, you don’t want to use it anymore like when they increase the price (uff..) but you liked the features of it. Then you can visit, type Skype and boom; you’ll have a list of choices similar to it. For skype right now I got results like Discord, Telegram, Tox, Slack, Hangout, Signal, Wire, Mumble, Jitsi, etc.
  • Print Friendly – Makes any web page which is not printable due to weird formatting or page sizes, printable.
  • Bank IFSC Code – Get the IFSC code of any bank in India. You have to select the state, city, area and bank name and you’ll get the IFSC code of the banks in that area.
  • Shorte ST – Shorten your web page links and earn money (I haven’t tried it myself yet).
  • Flikr – Photo storage and organizing. Available as the app also.
